World Congress on ICT for Development 2009

The world is entering into Information Age and the United Nations organized two World Summits on Information Society (WSIS) in 2003 and 2005. Information and Communication Technology, ICT for Development, is the flag technology for the Information Age and Information Society, and also the major tool for human beings to achieve the goal in the 21 century. Information engineers have a particular responsibility for the implementation of a sustainable Information Society global-wide and minimization of the digital gap between developed and developing countries.
