- Vision: Information engineers have a particular responsibility for the implementation of a sustainable Information Society global-wide and minimization of the digital gap between developed and developing countries.
- Mission: As a standing committee of WFEO, the CIC should take on the following responsibilities for fulfilling the tasks allocated by WFEO in accordance with the WSIS/WSSD Solutions and the United Nation's Millennium Development Goals.
